For Africa Fashion Week London I chose these two looks. Both traditional but with a modern twist.
The first day I wore the famous Dashiki that made its way to fashion since spotted on Beyonce and Rihanna.
What is different about this one is the color combination and the long sleeves also it’s a bit of a thicker fabric. I teamed it up with my favorite Zara high waisted flared jeans and huge wrap on my head. That always gives your look that extra especially combined with Think Imaginary summer body art.
The moment I saw this skirt at the “Fleur Noire” show I knew I wanted to wear it to the AFWL, so that would be my second look. I got an obsession for stripes so I went for a full stripe look. Clutch and shoes to match. Because that was already a statement look altogether I decided not to wrap my hair with the second look.
First look : Dashiki bought on Keti Koti festival/ Zara jeans/ Wrap from Paris Comptoir General vintage store/ Body art from Think Imaginary
Second look: River Island top/ Lady-Africa skirt/ Both clutch and shoes from L.K Bennett
