Yesterday I attended Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam press conference and the program for this weekend is very promising.

Here are my 6 reasons why you should turn up:

1.Dressing up. You have a good reason to go all out!! That’s already a reason enough.

2.The location. The shows will be held at the Royal Tropical institute. Royal… Tropical…need I say more?

3.Ramsey Nouah. The Famous Nigerian Nollywood (Nigerian Hollywood) actor will co host the event. A very charming and charismatic figure.

4.The designers. Plenty of established and up and coming talent such as the Gorgeous Bogota born designer Lia Samantha. She already stole my heart with her looks and story. In her home country of Colombia, there is a negative perception of African roots and culture. She is the first designer out of her country to showcase an African heritage in a fashion line.

5.The venue and its hostesses looked absolutely stunning! Designer Diana Tambe and her styling team took care of business. Now if a hostess looks like this then you know you have to step it up a notch.

6.Entertainment. Besides the fashion show there will be a number of surprise acts and performances. Fun!!

My ‘look of the day’ comes from Pimkie and ofcourse I fluffed up my skirt with a petticoat.
