This is the best time of the year to start shopping for swimwear!
Why? Because the new collections just came out so you will have the first pick and can start daydreaming about your next tropical destination.
If you think looking for a swimsuit that makes you feel confident and happy is a bit of a challenge, here are a few tips and tricks that will make the search fun and successful!
- Go with your instinct.
If there is a suit that draws you in first, that should be the first you try on. I promise you nine out of ten that will be the one you probably end up buying,
Also try a new fit. There might be a new silhouette on the market that could be your next “trade mark” fit. You will never know unless you give it a shot.
- Try new colors.
Although a black bikini might feel safe it’s also nice sometimes even nicer to wear a crazy pattern or a bold color like red. The color can bring the bathing suit to a whole other level
- Tops should hold your bust in place.
It might sound a bit odd, but to put your top through the test you should jump up an down and lean forward when trying on. If there is any risk for spilling out of the top, try another style or size.
- Shop tops and bottoms separately.
In other words don’t buy a set. For example: you might be a medium on the top and a small on the bottom or the other way around.
- Slim your stomach.
Not by going to the gym (unless you like to of course) but by “shirring”.
The gathered fabric creates definition in the waist. One pieces that have color blocking at the waist or black and white prints with the right placing will also do the job.
- Show your best assets.
If you’ve got it, flaunt it!! Showcase your best areas with bold colors, ruffles or other statement decorations.
Hats, scarfs, hoops, bracelets maybe not so handy for swimming but so stylish to sunbath and sip on a cocktail.
The key to looking good and confident is to find a suit that best flatters your body. Always choose a perfect fit over a trend or style but stay open to try new things.
