There are places that are so special you just want to share them with the world. Within one hour after checking in, I felt as Carry Bradshaw, an uber hip uptown girl sharing her experiences. I immediately started to typ like crazy on my laptop in one of the most amazing and original hotel rooms with an incredible view overseeing Berlin’s zoological gardens.
The hotel’s design concept is a clever mix of nature and culture, or urban jungle, with clever use of space on the hotel’s loft like lobby, reception, in house bakery and meeting rooms in one. One half of the hotel looks out over the gardens and the other half over the city.
The friendly reception staff offered me complimentary use of bikes with a handy map with 4 different itineraries to visit the city or a Mini Cooper! Excuse me? Did you say a Mini Cooper? Yes, just say the word she said and we have a Mini Cooper available for you. My room card also allowed me to enter the hotel’s jungle sauna located on the 9th floor with floor to ceiling windows also overlooking the zoological gardens.
The in house restaurant “Neni” located on the top floor with panoramic views of the city and a greenhouse decor, offers a middle eastern eclectic cuisine. It was absolutely wonderful and took me back to the delicious food experiences I had in Tel Aviv.
On the opposite side you will find the hotel’s hip and popular bar “Monkey Bar”. Queues for outside guests are located on the ground floor but the fun part is that as a guest you can enter it from a different elevator using your room key skipping the lines.
In the summer they will be making use of their terrace hosting several events.
This is an open invite to me because if I’m already having this much fun, imagine spending long summer nights at the 25 hours hotel.
