60s 70s and 80s festival vibing

It wasn’t intentional, but somehow I covered these 3 style decades during AfroPunk.
As I mentioned before Afro Punk is all about expressing yourself and boy oh boy did I express myself!

Remember those 80s music video’s? Sheila E, Prince, Madonna , Michael Jackson?
I always adored their style. I was too young to dress up with pointy bustiers and such but old enough to fantasise about wearing them.

Saturday 70ties

A decade I can only dream of. Thanks to my mother’s old pictures I managed to get a glimpse of what it must have been like. Big afro, platform heels, hotpants and beautiful long dresses. So much style inspiration. When I visit her I always enjoy taking a look at her old photo albums, with those beautiful 70ties colors.DSC_2382 DSC_2387 DSC_2388 DSC_2389 DSC_2391 DSC_2403

Sunday 60ties

This era I only know from old films and album covers. Yes, I am talking about Motown, The Supremes and Twiggy.
My mom had a million motown records and would play them all the time. I would get a brush and start lipsinging in front of the mirror. The model of the dress is a typical 60ties shape but all the glitter gives it a Bollywood vibe so I paired it with my Indian inspired hairaccesory. DSC_2444 DSC_2450 DSC_2453 DSC_2455
