Hometown

DSC_4981 When I first moved to Amsterdam I was overwhelmed by all the new areas, neighborhoods and tourists. I love Rotterdam but after 8 years living in Amsterdam I can defenitely call this home. It’s an amazing city and there is so much to explore. The other day I shot this beautiful Escada dress I wore to the last day of Fashionweek Amsterdam in the gardens of the Rijksmuseum. I only had a “frontrow” shot of this dress and it deserved so much more.
So after I had lunch at Corner Bakery I walked around a bit until I found a perfect backdrop for this outfit. I ended up at the Rijksmuseum and the entrance to the gardens was open. Later I found out by the friendly security it wasn’t open to public during the winter but he made an exception and gave me the chance to use the beautiful brick wall as back drop.
As you might know I sprained my ankle a few months ago. It’s still in healing process so I am not able to wear high heels, but I have been really creative with choosing shoes to compliment my outfit.
What do you think about these cut-out ankle booties designed by Jeffrey Campbell for Sacha Shoes? They were sold out last season buy they are back and I bought them without any hesitation. They are comfortable and the icing on the cake to any outfit….
