The uniform jacket is a fashion staple that gets reinvented season after season through the introduction of various fabrics, textures and details. However, in essence, any marine inspired jacket should be your capsule piece that can withstand the test of time. It’s definitely a favorite statement pieces in my wardrobe. I love the many different ways you can wear it and it’s appropriate at any age. It’s sophisticated, versatile and polished. This jacket can be dressed both up and down, yet still manages to portray a well-dressed woman either way.
Below are two different ways to style them.
I wore this light jacket from Airfield as a dress along with my shiny silver boots and matching belt. The fabric keeps you dry and allows air to circulate, serving perfectly as a Spring/Summer companion.
For an everyday look, I combined it with nice leather pants, a simple white top underneath and metallic heels. I no doubt had to add a little pop with my favorite color … red!! Keeping it minimal is key and this coat doesn’t need any heavy prints or loud logos to accompany it. This goes for a more refined approach to dressing and allows this piece to work its own magic.
